Weekly 255 Released

Today we have released Weekly Build 255.  With this release we have fixed 159 bugs within the system.  This weekly is based on the KDE desktop and we fixed many of the issues within the KDE desktop as well.

Some of the more prominent fixes include:

  • KDE Specific:  Disappearing network icon - The network manager applet would disappear after periods of use.  This has been fixed
  • KDE Specific:  During live boot the menu would not retract when pressed.  This has been fixed.
  • dmesg would report "Core temperature above threshold"  thermald was the culprit for this error and it has been repaired
  • When logging out of the system it would trigger a reboot.  This has been fixed
  • i915 module not found Error:  The appropriate i915 drivers have been loaded and are not removed during the remaster process.
  • Transfer with Nitroshare would cause .jpg and .png files to be unreadable.  This has been fixed
  • Swap file management now optimized for SSD and FLASH storage users

There are a few bugs that we havent fixed yet

  • Not all Ubuntu branding removed from installer - Will be fixed in Weekly 256
  • Mobile batteries on SurfaceBook, SurfacePro, Lenovo Ideapad and some Dell models even upon full charge report only 56% capacity
  • Dell Optiplex 7440 wont set to maximum resolution upon reboot
  • Some ACER keyboards are not recognized
